    New Century Software is a leader in developing data management and integrity management solutions for the oil and gas pipeline industry. These pipelines transport natural gas and hazardous liquid petroleum products throughout the US and the world. The company develops desktop, web and mobile applications that help pipeline operators manage information about pipeline assets and ensure safe operation. The company supports these implementations and applications with professional services that include pipeline risk analysis, data conversion, data migration and consulting.

    New Century is searching for an Account Manager with US and Canadian experience in the regulated energy and pipeline industry. The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience with pipeline integrity management, regulations, engineering, and operations. The ideal candidate must also understand the added value of GIS in addressing integrity management challenges, improving operational efficiency and regulatory compliance, and improving pipeline data management. GIS knowledge is preferred, but not necessary.

    Compensation will be commensurate with experience plus performance bonus.


    The position of Account Manager reports to the Sr. Director of Sales and Business Development. Responsibilities are presented in order of priority a­­­nd include, but are not limited to, the following:

    • Lead exceptional account management to nurture partnerships with existing customers.
    • Manage business development activities to drive the highest value realization to existing and prospective customers for software and services.
    • Collaborate with the Marketing, Software, Professional Services, and Support teams in qualifying, developing, and selling solutions and services.
    • Manage lead generation activities and identify new business opportunities in the O&G pipeline industry.
    • Develop and maintain professional relationships with New Century colleagues, and industry leaders and partners.
    • Represent New Century at industry trade shows and association committees such as GITA, PODS, Banff Integrity Workshop, International Pipeline Conference, and other regional events.
    • Meet individual software and services sales quotas to achieve company-wide revenue goals.
    • Other duties as needed


    • 5-7 years of Sales experience in the same industry with related products and services
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field
    • In depth knowledge of pipeline operations and GIS data management.
    • Track record of successful software and services sales within the O&G or related industry.
    • Experience selling software and services solutions at the executive level.
    • Very strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and commitment to manage leads and opportunities using a CRM.
    • Solid business understanding, specifically related to communicating with both customers and New Century colleagues.
    • Excellent work ethic, displaying dependability and commitment to New Century’s success and core values.
