    Integrity Plus is searching for a self-motivated individual for the position of GIS Technician I, part of the Data Management Team. This opportunity provides for professional growth and includes a competitive compensation and benefits package.

    Responsibilities

    The position of GIS Technician I is primarily tasked with complex spatial data sets. Responsibilities are presented in order of priority a­­­nd include, but are not limited to, the following:

    • Analyze spatial and technical data, designs, or preliminary specifications
    • Perform survey processing, data maintenance, and geo-processing of pipeline spatial and tabular data from client-provided data sources (plat maps, alignment sheets, shapefiles, geodatabases,
    • Create geo-databases, design data structure and properties
    • Ability to create, manage, and edit feature classes and spatial data
    • Data conversion of source documents into databases accurately and efficiently
    • Understand geographic projections and coordinate systems
    • Visualize workflow for survey data processing
    • Compliance with company policies and procedures
    • Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders
    • Conduct yourself in a professional manner with both internal and external personnel
    • Report to work as assigned and submit weekly timesheets on time
    • Develop a general working knowledge of Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA), Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations 49 CFR 191-199, specifically 49 CFR 192 (Gas) and 49 CFR 195 (Hazardous Liquid and CO2)
    • Other responsibilities as identified by the Department Manager

     

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Geospatial Information Management, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related field preferred
    • Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, etc.)
    • One (1) year of GIS experience preferred
    • Knowledge of basic geo-processing that should include, but is not limited to:
      • Basic knowledge of SQL queries or Access query builder
      • Attribute editing in ArcMap
    • Must have high attention to detail, strong organization skills, and ability to work in a team setting
    • Previous work experience in the pipeline industry preferred
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Basic knowledge of linear referencing
    • Basic understanding of Python programming language
    • Basic understanding of pipeline construction and/or attributes
    • Basic knowledge of PODS (relational and/or spatial), APDM, and UPDM data models
    • Basic knowledge of stationing and measuring of pipelines
    • Previous experience using pipeline data management software

    Training Requirements

    All Integrity Plus employees are required to participate in the training and onboarding program. Basic curriculum is required to be completed within the first three (3) weeks of employment and the additional curriculum is to be completed within the first six (6) months of employment.
