New Century Software is a leader in developing data management and integrity management solutions for the oil and gas pipeline industry. These pipelines transport natural gas and hazardous liquid petroleum products throughout the US and the world. The company develops desktop, web and mobile applications that help pipeline operators manage information about pipeline assets and ensure safe operation. The company supports these implementations and applications with professional services that include pipeline risk analysis, data conversion, data migration, and consulting.

Responsibilities

The full-time/part-time position of Graphic/Web Designer reports into Marketing and Sales. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Maintain company website and marketing database
  • Create animated web banners
  • Design product logos, fliers, and website
  • Creation of graphic and layout content as needed for presentations, proposals, etc.
  • Design, create, and produce marketing materials, advertisements, and newsletters
  • Design and create presentations, materials, and graphics for conferences and presentations
  • Development of design for external marketing content, mailers, flyers, etc.
  • Camtasia video production
  • Webinar video processing
  • Update company brochures
  • SEO tracking and reporting
  • Design and create graphics as needed
  • Update company resume
  • Support the Software Team with icon creation, UI design, and other projects

Qualifications

  • Degree in graphic design
  • Must have at least 6 years of graphic design experience, with at least 3 years in a commercial environment.  Freeleance-only experience will not be considered.
  • Expert with the Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Illustrator, PhotoShop, and Dreamweaver
  • Proficient with Microsoft platform (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Proven knowledge of XML, HTML and CSS
  • Familiar with JavaScript, Flash, Camtasia, Wistia, and Constant Contact
  • Experience with social media tools such as YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn
  • Up-to-date portfolio showing both printed and web projects
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience in the Energy, Engineering, and/or Oil & Gas industry preferable but not required
  • Strong visual literacy and understanding of typography, illustration, color theory, and photo manipulation
  • Ability to work on several projects at once
  • Coordinate layout and maintenance of branding standards
  • Good time management skills
  • Able to work in a deadline-driven environment
  • Experienced with web design, including large and small format printing
  • Able to manage projects through print process
  • Good communication skills
  • Fast learner and self-motivated
